Following a restful vacation in Thailand in June we have been busy catching up and moving forward into new things. In May our teammates, Dr. Nghia and An-Hoa Pham and their family left for a year of home assignment, and we have taken over some of their role in overseeing the CAMA project center in Darhan. Brent is preparing resources for training in biblical counseling and will be presenting the first of these at a church leadership camp this last week of July. Lisa is currently preparing a VBS type children's camp program that will run the first week of August. We are thankful for lots of fruitful ministry. The prayer requests below pretty much sum things up. As always thanks for praying!
PRAYER REQUESTS
Pray for the church leadership camp July 27-31, for Brent as he teaches biblical counseling training material and gets to know the church leaders better, and for the 30-40 church leaders who will be attending. Pray for good learning and fellowship. Pray that the leaders from these several different churches would come away better equipped for personal ministry to others and catch a desire for more fellowship and support between churches.
Pray for Lisa and the Mongolian teachers she is working with in preparation for a VBS/Kids club that will take place August 2-6. Pray that things will run smoothly and that the children who attend would have open hearts to receive God’s Word.
Pray for the biblical counseling training that Brent will be presenting to Christian social service workers in the Darhan area August 13 and 14. Pray that these workers would be challenged and better equipped for providing biblical solutions to problems they deal with in the public sector.
Pray for our teammates who have finished language study and are still waiting through the application process for a work visa to return to Mongolia.
Pray for Dennis and Marilyn Maves as they transition back into life in Mongolia and their role as Field Director. Pray for wisdom for them and for the field office staff as they deal with requirements and regulations associated with maintaining legitimate status as an organization and acquiring visas. These seem to be ongoing and often complicated here in Mongolia.
